Of Meteors, Ice Ages, and the Global Flood
Geology was my second love in college. I was one course away from a minor in geology, but couldn’t find a way to make it fit in my hectic 18 hour a semester schedule driven by my Naval ROTC requirements. In hindsight, it was a grace. After all, who wants to be a professional rock licker?
I arrived at Vanderbilt University with a God-given faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a grace-enabled unshakeable trust in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. While I was not exposed to much of Darwin’s theory or the accompanying geologic epochs (millions and billions of years) in high school (it was the late 80s /early 90s), Vanderbilt’s Geology Department deluged me in it. I was fascinated with their theories of how it took so ridiculously long to form all the geologic wonders of this world. And I learned much about how reasonable some of these theories can seem, if no other alternatives are ever presented or discussed.
But of course I arrived at the university with an alternative deeply ensconced in my mind and soul. It was so simplistic sounding, though, that I rarely had courage to even mention it to my peers, much less my professors. I wish I had been exposed to the work of Answers in Genesis and the Institute for Creation Research back in those days. But Henry Morris and Andrew Snelling were total strangers to me then. Turns out, what sounded so simple to me – that God flooded the entire earth with a massive catastrophe the likes of which had never been imagined – actually has good scientific backing!
You see, when you look at the Grand Canyon, or massive cave systems, or lakes, rivers, creeks and oceans, or jagged mountain peaks that clearly were thrust up from the deep, you are staring at evidences of the righteous wrath of a Holy Creator God! This likely explains why none of my atheist professors ever mentioned even the remotest possibility that the Genesis Flood was true. To admit such a thing, well, that would be too much to bear for sinful truth-suppressors who want to live as their own gods (see Romans 1:18-32). Nevermind the evidence of perfectly un-eroded rock layers all over the earth. Nevermind fossils of millions of dead things buried in rock layers laid down by water all over the earth. Nevermind petrified trees jutting through many multiple rock layers, all of which supposedly laid on the earth for millions of years. (That’s an old tree, I’d say!) Evidence be damned! We shall not admit anything in Genesis is literally true. For if we do, it might inevitably lead us to conclude if we do not repent of our sins and crawl by faith onto the Ark who is Jesus Christ, we too shall be drowned in God’s wrath. Come to think of it, this is pretty much how Jesus concluded the Sermon on the Mount (Matt 7:24-27).
A few days ago, I was watching a TV show on Volcanoes. I think it was on the Discovery Channel, but do not quote me on it. My teen daughter was nearby and I called her in the room quickly to discuss what they were claiming on the show. The scientists were examining lava rocks on Iceland. The lava had cooled and formed rocks in a circular shape. Very neat. Look kind-of-like large snails. The show then explained that the only place scientists had ever observed lava cooling into spherical shapes was under water.
Are you listening?
This phenomenon has only ever been actually observed happening under the oceans! But of course the show went on to claim emphatically that since these scientists knew this mountainous area had never been under water, they developed an elaborate theory of things that happened millions of years ago over aeons of time to somehow replicate what they have only ever observed happening under ocean water. Makes perfect sense to me! Deny the obvious conclusion. Throw true observational science under the bus in the name of the gospel of geologic epochs.
I recently read an article (https://phys.org/news/2020-07-texas-cave-sediment-upends-meteorite.html) about scientists having to go back to the drawing board regarding the cause of the Ice Age. For many decades, the theory was a meteorite hit the earth, causing the Ice Age. But sediment deposits in a cave in Texas now disprove the theory, showing instead that a “period of major volcanic eruptions” caused the earth to cool.
You mean something like “on that day the fountains of the great deep burst forth” (Genesis 7:11).
Volcanoes. Earthquakes. Geysers. 40 days of torrential rain. World-wide catastrophe. An earth covered now by water will inevitably possess a much cooler atmosphere. Much of it will freeze as the water subsides. And the ice will scar up the land and leave lakes and canyons as it too recedes back to its place closer to the poles.
Wow. Sounds simple. And true. But not because it makes better sense of the scientific data (though it clearly does). But because God said so.
Be careful who you trust.
“Let God be true though everyone be a liar” (Romans 3:3).

Urban Evolution?
Earlier this week, on the CBS Morning Show, a segment featured a new book titled Darwin Comes to Town. The author discussed the thrust of a book in a segment you can see here:
https://www.cbs.com/shows/cbs_this_morning/video/gcum75ud_Z6H5NnLhfIYKdo5W9Z1Nm0K/urban-ecologist-on-how-cities-speed-up-evolution-process/
While I am sure the author is a man of educational "letters," I just have to ask the obvious question: Where, pray tell, is any real evolution happening before our very eyes as you so boldly claim?
Decades ago Wendy's commercials asked, "Where's the Beef?" Well, I am asking, where is the evolution?
What you will hear Mr. Schilthuizen present as evidence of "evolution before our very eyes" is the same old tired stuff of Darwin's Galapagos finches. O look, finches' beak sizes vary depending upon rainfall amounts. Yes, that's called "adaptation." Not evolution. When that finch turns into a non-finch of any kind, let me know.
You see, the way Darwinian scientists use the terms "adaptation" and "evolution" interchangeably is a sort of verbal form of the optical illusion. They are hoping we mere mortals are dumb enough not to notice their semantics hocus-pocus. They also use the word "evolution" to mean different things. Sometimes they mean micro-evolution, among the same species, which is more often called adaptation. In fact, Mr. Schilthuizen does use the term "adaptation" repeatedly but then shifts the whole paradigm by claiming adaptation among pigeons and lizards proves "evolution." What he means is that because a lizard has adapted to an urban environment by producing more sticky substances on its feet to cling to concrete buildings, that somehow proves that we humans all came from lizards. Because pigeons have adapted their feathers for shedding certain harmful substances in large cities, this shows before our very eyes that pond scum organized itself (after creating itself spontaneously) and became a fish which became a frog which became a monkey which became me. But the pigeons are still pigeons. And the lizards are still lizards. Surely top scientists can do better than this if they are looking to convince me of molecules-to-man evolution?!
Adaptation within species does not and has never proven Darwin's theory. It only proves God is a genius without compare. He has created all creatures with amazing genetic variation that enables them to adapt to a plethora of environments and to survive many challenges that threaten their existence.
And the only reason we humans can even have these discussions on TV stations and internet blogs is because we, unlike any other creature, are made in God's image. Give glory to the Creator!
Eyes to the Sky
Much of the nation had their eyes to the sky yesterday during the solar eclipse. Hundreds of thousands converged in various "totality zones" from Oregon to South Carolina to experience a total eclipse of the sun.
Schools let out. And `rank`ly I do not understand why any school within sight of the eclipse would not have let students freely enjoy the sight with their family and friends. At bare minimum it should have been an excused absence! We wonder why interest in science is failing, and then we have schools that will not even embrace one of the most magnificent astrological events most students will ever have an opportunity to witness.
Personally, I set out on an hour drive from my home yesterday morning to the town of Scottsburg, IN. Discovered the Ace Hardware there had glasses. That place was packed out! The business manager there was thinking ahead, because as far as anyone of us in line could tell, he had the only available glasses in all of Southeastern Indiana! It was a unique social event - waiting in line at the hardware store. I chatted with a gentlemen behind me. We joked with a woman further back in the line. And two Mennonite women made their purchase just in front of me. It was eclectic fun!
And my wife, daughters and I enjoyed popping in and out of the house as we watched the total eclipse live on TV while also enjoying the 95% eclipse in our front yard. We noticed our neighbors in their yard with no glasses, and several times during the event, we walked over to share the glasses with them. And we commented to them on the creation glorifying the Creator! And they agreed. It was nice sharing that moment with them.
So, just a few observations:
- The way so many TV scientists referred to this amazing creative act of God was infuriating. Perhaps even demonic. I heard noted scientists call this a "cosmic coincidence." Yep. Makes perfect sense that the moon just "happens" to be 400 times closer and 400 times smaller than the sun. And that's why we even know of such a thing as a total solar eclipse. And makes perfect sense that we can predict the exact dates of these events years in advance. Give me a break! This thing was no accident or coincidence. Our cosmos is ordered to reflect the Perfect Orderliness of our Creator. No wonder kids hate science when we have stripped God's glory from it and made everything magnificent a mere coincidence of "mother nature." But I guess if our kids think they too are just cosmic accidents, then why bother getting excited about just another accident?
- To gaze at the eclipse yesterday and somehow be able to shut out the radiance of the Creator is a sure sign of spiritual deadness. And if scientists and teachers and parents and children do not repent of it and cry out to the Creator God in Christ for forgiveness and mercy, there will be hell to pay (Romans 1:18-32). Christian parents, please tell me you did not miss this opportunity to speak of God and the glory of His salvation in His Son and our Savior?! So many spiritual analogies could have and should have been made as we stared upward yesterday.
- Our word "eclipse" derives from a Greek / Latin word meaning "abandoned." The ancient Greeks thought the sun was abandoning the earth during such an event. Now think about this in relation to what God did while His Son, Jesus, hung on the cross for the sins of the world.
"Now from the sixth hour to the ninth hour (noon to 3) darkness fell upon the land. About the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice, 'Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?' which means 'My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?'" Matthew 27:45-46
- Wow! Another cosmic coincidence? No way! God dimmed the light of the sun for 3 hours as He poured out His wrath against the sins of His people on the body of Christ. It was my darkness that enveloped my Savior that day. It was the darkness in our hearts that eclipsed the Light of the World that day. He was shrouded in our evil, and eclipsed, abandoned. So that all who trust in Christ alone for salvation might bask in His light and life forever and ever. Hallelujah!
- Where I live, we had only about 95% eclipse. I was actually shocked that it didn't get any darker than it did. I expected more wow factor regarding the dimness. But goodness is that fire ball in the sky powerful. It was lighting up my world with just a sliver of its rays. And if you think the sun is powerful, just wait until you turn your eyes to the sky one day to be blinded by the brilliance of the King of Kings who is the Light of Heaven.
"Behold He is coming with the clouds and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen." Revelation 1:7
- Darkness always loses. Light always wins. The moon lost the epic battle yesterday. It looked victorious for a few short minutes or hours. But nothing can stop the Son!
"He is not here. He has risen, just as He said." Matthew 28:6
"And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war." Revelation 19:11
"And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever." Revelation 22:5
Keep your eyes to the sky brothers and sisters!
So, This is Science?
In the recent edition (Summer 2016) of Vanderbilt magazine, there's an article titled "Dim Chance." It briefly details how a PhD Student at Vanderbilt debunked some claims of researchers at Penn State and LSU regarding KIC 8462852. Oh, that's "Tabby's star" for all you astrology nuts.
This star is some 1480 light years away, and is nestled in the constellation called Cygnus. Interest among some in the scientific community rose up when the star's namesake, Yale astronomer Tabby Boyajian, reported that some "planet hunters" had noticed fluctuations in the star's light.
Now, I have no idea why this excites some people, but if you're so far bored to tears, just listen to the conclusion of these so-called "planet hunters." They noticed over 100 days, dozens of uneven light fluctuations which they hypothesized must have been caused by large objects passing across its face. So far, still fairly ho-hum. Right?
Not so fast. In come astronomers from Penn State to release a study which said this "bizarre light curve" was "consistent with a swarm of alien-constructed megastructures."
I can't make this stuff up, folks!
So this is serious science? Or Sci-Fi? These are the "experts" educating future leaders of America and the world. This is what has become of "science." It's been reduced to a ridiculous religion that relies upon totally unsubstantiated and un-provable beliefs. Ironically, this is what so many scientists accuse Christians of doing! (Even though our beliefs rest on the most historically reliable Book of antiquity, with many verified evidences.) I wonder how many government dollars went into that research study at Penn State?
Well, thankfully, Michael Lund from Vanderbilt rescued these scientists from their own stupidity by his research showing the light changes "were caused by changes in the instrumentation - not by changes in the star's brightness." In other words, the instruments used to measure the brightness were not consistent over time.
Turns out, the whole hypothesis owes to human error. Ha! Go figure.
Oh how far science has fallen. From men like Kepler, Pascal, Bacon, Newton, and Samuel Morse who did science because they knew a Sovereign Creator God had infused His creation with His own order and glory. Now that's a motivator to do science! But with scientists like we have these days, is it any wonder kids are losing interest?
Whatever we can know or not know about KIC 8462852, our Father God knows its real number, and He calls it by its real name (Psalm 147:4).
The heavens declare the glory of God!
This video was created from actual photographs NASA has taken of the sun over the last five years. Prepared to feel very small and give big praise to the Creator of all things. Our great God made the sun and continues to sustain it as He made and sustains us. To watch this video and not give praise to God is to deny the plain and clear truth. It is just another reminder that God, the maker of all things, is worthy of more praise than we could ever give. It is ludicrous to believe that just by accident, just coincidentally, this incredible star is just the right distance from Earth to sustain life. Countless explosions dance upon the sun's a massive surface because it was designed to do so by our sovereign Lord. I encourage you to watch this and then spend some time in prayer. Praise Him for His incredible creativity and perfect planning of the universe. Praise Him for Jesus who not only created all things and sustains all things, but humbled Himself to become a man, live a perfect life and die for sinners like us! Praise Him!
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
(Psalm 19:1-6 ESV)

Ancient Tennessee Speaks of God's Glory
I graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1995 with a Major in Human & Organizational Development. I almost minored in Geology. I really enjoyed studying the earth, and at that time bought into the geologic epochs, millions of years, and so on.
I'm ashamed now.
Ashamed that my alma mater has in recent years kicked Christian organizations off campus because they refused to allow atheists to hold leadership positions in their clubs! But also ashamed that I was so naive as to not think biblically about geology and the earth's age.
The recent edition of Vanderbilt Magazine that arrived in the mail had a one page graphic depiction of some ancient sea life. The caption at the top of the page says, "How to Explore the Pre-Historic Past." And the subtitle is: "Travel back 450 million years to Middle Tennessee's beginnings."
Huh? Pre-history? How can there be such a thing? How do we explore non-history?
At any rate, what I found fascinating was how the Geology Professor Molly Miller (I studied under her husband at VU) explained that hundreds of millions of years ago, Tennessee was part of the ocean floor! The clay soil is a vestige. The calcium carbonate in the Tennessee rocks came from shells and skeletons of ancient marine organisms.
Well, finally I agree with a secular scientist! Tennessee was indeed under the ocean at a point in history. Noah's flood.
Professor Miller says, "It's strange to think of all those animals giving their lives to form our rocks."
For her, the fossils in Tennessee serve no greater purpose than to form rocks. But they should serve to remind us all of the wrath of a Holy God against sin. God judges sin. Don't believe me? Just ask those dead animals that were buried in rock layers as the waters of the Great Flood covered the entire earth. If they could speak, they would declare the glory of God as Holy Judge. They would warn you to flee from the wrath to come!
God judged the world once before. He's going to do it again one day through His Son Jesus.
Professor Miller, the Lord Jesus left the splendor of heaven and became a man, living a perfect life of righteousness, pleasing God the Father, and He died on a cross in place of sinners who are not righteous and pleasing to God. He rose again leaving a forever empty tomb in His wake. He gave up His life to become the Eternal Rock of refuge to all who would cry out to Him for mercy and forgiveness of sins.
And one day, those Middle Tennessee rocks will cry out to Him, "Glory to the Lamb" (Revelation 5:13). Don't let those rocks beat you to the punch! Worship Jesus now and bow down to Him as the Lord of Love and Life. If you do not, you will go the way of those ancient organisms. You will be buried in the sea of God's wrath. I urge you, take God at His Word. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.
Of Dinosaurs, Millions of Years and the Loss of Biblical Faith
The October issue of The American Family Association Journal has two interesting blurbs. Though they are on separate pages and treated separately in the journal, they are quite connected.
The first blurb tells of Christian music artists Michael and Lisa Gungor. I'm not familiar with them, but apparently they have recently come out denouncing the Bible's doctrines of creation, Noah's flood, and the actual existence of Adam and Eve. No surprise that they are under the influence of a so-called pastor named Rob Bell.
The second blurb asks what happens to a scientist and professor at Cal State University if he calls into the question the "accepted" geologic epochs related to the age of the earth and dinosaurs. Answer:
He gets fired.
Mark Armitage was fired by Cal State. Why? Because he dared to write a paper about recent soft tissues discovered in triceratops fossils. Those soft tissues would have "decayed into nothingness" he said, if that creature really lived 65 million years ago. Soft tissues such as blood, skin, tendons and so on can only last a max of perhaps 10,000 years. This is just good, solid, observational science! And it gets you fired at Cal State U.
Other soft tissues have been discovered in dinosaur fossils, too. Some bones found recently in Canada had skin on them and these bones were considered to be 60 million years old by secular scientists! Read up on this and more at AnswersInGenesis.org
Why can a Christian who is a professor of science say he is a Christian and believes in creation or intelligent design not get fired, but the moment he expresses doubt over the millions and billions of years paradigm he is axed? Simple. Because the theory of Darwinian evolution absolutely depends on massive, incomprehensible amounts of time. It's their explanation for every gap and hole in the theory. Why don't we see tons of transitional fossils, you know, in-between creatures? Oh that's due to it taking billions of years and those fossils just haven't survived those long epochs. Give time and chance long enough, and these two apparently personal forces can do anything? Nothing shall be impossible for time and chance. (This is also why secular scientists hate any belief in a global flood. They realize that would blow all their geologic assumptions and clocks out of the water. And then, there's that whole God judges sin thingy too.)
Friends, give up the Bible's teaching on creation and often everything else in the Bible goes with it. If Genesis 1 cannot be trusted, then why would we trust Genesis 2 and 3? The Gungor's also do not believe in gender being a divinely assigned entity. Do you see the domino effect here?
But if we did not have literal human ancestors created by God in the image of God, who really did rebel against God and fall into corruption as sinners, then why did Jesus come? Would God send His Holy Son, Jesus, to die for the instinctual behaviors of highly evolved animals?
Friends, the gospel is at stake from the very first chapters of the Bible. May we not forget it. May we not allow our children to be duped, either, by educators and really smart and well-meaning professors or Hollywood actors.
"In the beginning . . . God."
Your dog or your neighbor?
Ray Comfort has a new DVD titled "Evolution v. God" It is typical, solid stuff that we have come to expect from our brother Ray. I would encourage you to purchase the DVD or watch it on the web Here. Then share it with others and show it to others.
In the DVD, Ray interviews various college students and professors on campuses in California. He asks them very simple questions, such as "Can you give me one observable example of one kind of animal becoming another kind of animal?" Typically the answer is stunned silence. But a few professors try their hand at it and end up giving examples of animal adaptation (or micro-evolution), not macro-evolution on the scale required for Darwin's hypothesis to be true. One example is a bacteria acquiring new abilities to do certain things, but of course, as Ray points out, it is still bacteria!
While I found the banter between Ray and these very well-educated believers in evolution informative and amusing, the thing that disturbed me most was when Ray got around to exposing the ethical results of people believing evolution theory to be true.
Ray asks at one point: "If you saw your dog and your next door neighbor both drowning in a pool which would you save first?"
Several students hesitate, which in itself is disturbing. Some wrestle mightily with it. One guy asks, "Is anybody looking?" And some of these smart people are honest enough to say they would definitely rescue their dog before the human being. Keep in mind these are the future leaders of America.
Well, oddly enough a poll revealed on the CBS Morning Show this very morning reported that 60% of Americans polled said they would save their dog from drowning rather than save a foreigner. How they would identify that person as a foreigner, who knows? And does this imply they would save an American before their dog, but not a Canadian or Mexican?
God help us! Do we really wonder why we still abort several thousand babies a day in this country? Ideas have consequences, dear friends, and I am not sure how much longer this nation can bear up under the consequences of Darwinian evolution.
In Psalm 115, the Lord tells us that "Those who make them [idols or false gods] will become like them." We become like our god(s), plain and simple. And this idea of evolution and Big Bangs and godlessness has done precisely this - it has made us like what we idolize and worship. Darwin said and most college professors of science still say we are nothing more than an accidental animal. And so we have truly become just like accidental animals in our thinking and living.
So, what to do?
- Seriously read your kids' textbooks if they are in public schools. There is no such thing as a state-run school where children are not being indoctrinated in the worldview of Darwinian evolution. Counter every lie with God's Word. Equip your children to spot the lies, expose the lies, and challenge the inconsistency of the lies.
- Think twice before giving tens of thousands of your dollars to an institution of higher learning where atheistic professors poison the minds of future leaders. When you pay tuition, you pay their salaries.
- If you have children in public schools, start a campaign to allow Intelligent Design curricula to be taught alongside the evolutionary textbooks. It is not unscientific, as opponents claim. It is very good science that follows the actual evidence where it leads - to the Creator. Expect grand resistance to this campaign. But is it worth the effort?
- Petition school libraries to include scholarly journals and magazines from Creation Research Institute or Answers in Genesis or Intelligent Design organizations. Again, expect resistance. Write letters. Make calls. Insist children be given access to all the data so they can make assessments and decisions on their own. This is educational freedom!
- Send your children to private schools or home school them. I prefer this option to the others, but do think we desperately need both happening in mass around our nation.
Bottom line - until parents care this will not stop. And if this does not stop, the final results will be catastrophic.
"When lust has conceived, it brings forth sin. And when sin is brought to completion, it brings forth death" (James 1:15).
Humans - Just Sexual Animals?
This morning I perked up when I heard the anchors on the CBS Morning Show say the upcoming segment would feature "scientific" studies revealing whether monogamy is natural or not.
I immediately began to tell my wife this should be interesting, since I could all but guarantee that whomever they had on the show as their "expert" in this field was sure to have a Darwinian / evolutionary worldview. In other words, the expert would assume we were just highly evolved animals, and that worldview would then color his research and interpretations of any findings.
I was so right.
Wish I was wrong, but Dr. Stephen Snyder, a Sex Therapist, launched into the most unintelligible explanation for why monogamy is not natural that I have ever heard. He stated that we all know that humans come from a certain type of chimp, to which all the CBS anchors just acquiesced without so much as a hint of dissent. Why of course we all KNOW that. And that certain type of chimp, our ancestors, some 4 million years ago just up and decided to give monogamy a try to defend children from cannibalism. At least I think that was his argument?! It's convoluted, as you'll see if you watch the 3 minute segment Here.
Nobody asked simple questions like:
- Dr. Snyder, how do you know what happened 4 million years ago? Were you there?
- Dr. Snyder, what hard, undisputed evidence do we have that humans came from chimps?
- Dr. Snyder, how do you know what chimps "decided" to do 4 million years ago? How could this possibly be ascertained from some bones buried in dirt?
To be fair, one of the CBS anchors did challenge the notion of studying animals to gain insight into human behavior. But the challenge was dismissed and not even discussed by the good "Dr." And of course the conclusion was that monogamy is not natural. To that I say, "Of course it's not natural! Our sinful, fallen nature will never want to obey God's design and law."
The point is not what is "natural," however we define that term. The point is what people ought to do. What is best for us? And friends, only our Creator could possibly know those answers with 100% accuracy. How sad that no mention was made at all in this segment of the numerous studies done over the decades showing that monogamy between a man and women is actually what is best for the human race (Focus on the Family is a good source of these studies).
School's back in parents. Do you know what your child is being taught? Are you reading their textbooks? Watch this segment and realize this so-called expert makes statements as if they are facts, when almost nothing he says actually has any scientific evidence behind it. The state of education in America has never been worse. This guy has been in our educational systems for 20+ years, and has obviously not learned anything about basic human logic, reasoning, and following the evidence where it leads. All he has learned is to assume evolution is true and use that to inform everything else he does and thinks in life. Makes me so sad. God help us.
Should we be surprised that teens and adults in our culture are behaving like animals? After all, they are just doing what comes "naturally." Who will tell them that what we most need is a new nature that comes only by God's grace through faith in the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus? Who will tell them?
Aliens?
The July / August issue of Popular Mechanics magazine has an article titled "The Case for Alien Life." It chronicles the billions of dollars spent by our government scientists and others in search of life on other planets. Meanwhile on the 3rd Rock from the Sun 20,000 children starved to death today and America and China aggressively supported the termination of the lives of many thousands of unborn children.
Does anyone see a problem here? And we wonder why our economy is tanking!
While the article claims scientists are more confident than ever that they will one day find another planet like Earth, or some form of life on another planet, the infographic at the very beginning of the article says it all:
- 100 billion planets total
- 50 billion small planets
- 17 billion earth-size planets
- 11 billion earth-size planets in stars' habitable zones
- 1 planet with confirmed life
I've got a newsflash for all these Darwinian scientists who are just licking their chops in hopes of finding a living organism somewhere out there so that they can scream, "See we told you life can spontaneously erupt!" Even if they ever do find a living thing somewhere in outer space, it will not ever "prove" what they will claim for such a find.
Rather, it will only prove that the Infinite Creator God who has unlimited power and endless space to work with does indeed continue to make things for His eternal glory!
"The heavens declare the glory of God" (Psalm 19:1).
"God . . . who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist" (Romans 4:17).
